FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here, I’d love to help. Please reach out to me directly and I’ll make sure your question is answered.

  • I use a gentle hand-pressure device, which is different from traditional spring-loaded piercing guns. Using the pressure of my palm, I carefully guide the earring into place for precise and controlled placement. This method is especially helpful for little ones who may have a hard time sitting still or feel nervous around needles.

Each earring comes in its own sterile, single-use cartridge, and the device itself never touches the skin, helping keep the process clean and safe.

Research has shown no difference in healing between a hand-pressure device and a needle for piercings. What matters most is proper aftercare, and I’ll guide you through everything you need to feel confident at home.

  • Each service includes medical-grade titanium earrings, which support smooth and comfortable healing.

14k gold is also available as an upgrade. On the day of your appointment, I’ll ask a few questions about any personal or family history of sensitivities to help guide you in choosing the best option.

  • At this time, I focus on using a gentle hand-pressure device, which allows for precise, controlled placement in a calm setting. Per Los Angeles County regulations, needle piercing must be performed in a licensed facility.

  • I offer ear piercing for babies 2 months and older, as long as they’ve received their first DTaP vaccine by the appointment date.

I also pierce older children and adults. Everyone is welcome, and each appointment is thoughtfully tailored to help you feel comfortable and cared for.

  • Yes, I do. Infant ear piercing is available once your baby has received their first DTaP vaccine, which is typically given around 2 months of age.

It’s a special milestone, and I would be honored to care for your family during this experience.

  • There isn’t one “right” age, and that’s completely okay. Some families choose to pierce during infancy, while others prefer to wait until their child is older and excited to be part of the decision.

Whatever feels right for your family is the right choice. No matter the age, my goal is always to make the experience feel gentle, safe, and memorable.

  • Absolutely, it’s one of the fun parts of the experience. You’ll be able to choose from a curated collection of hypoallergenic earrings in medical-grade titanium or 14k gold.

I’ll also help guide you toward the best option for healing.

  • I understand the excitement of picking out something special. For health and safety reasons, I’m only able to use my sterile, medical-grade earrings. Each one comes in a sealed, single-use cartridge to ensure a clean and safe experience.

Using outside earrings can increase the risk of irritation or infection. Once the initial healing period is complete, you’re welcome to switch to earrings of your choice.

  • Piercings should be cleaned twice daily for the first six weeks to support smooth healing.

I’ll walk you through detailed aftercare instructions during your appointment so you feel confident caring for the piercings at home. I’m also here if questions come up along the way.

  • Just a few. Earrings should stay in for at least 6 weeks for earlobe piercings and 12 weeks for cartilage piercings. Longer is always better to support proper healing.

I also recommend avoiding submerging new piercings in pools for at least 24 hours after the appointment.
