Frequently Asked Questions

  • I pierce individuals ages 2 months and up, as long as they have received their first DTaP vaccine.

  • Yes! I can pierce infants as long as they have received their first DTaP vaccine (typically administered around 2 months of age). For many families, infant ear piercing is a meaningful cultural rite of passage, and I’m committed to honoring that tradition in the safest, most comfortable way possible.

  • I use a hand-pressure device, not a spring-loaded piercing "gun." This method allows for quiet, precise, and controlled earring placement — no loud "pop"! The earrings are sealed in sterile, single-use capsules, so the device never touches the skin directly. I sanitize the instrument thoroughly before and after each use with hospital-grade wipes, and it’s stored in a clean case for safety.

  • Currently, per LA County law, needle piercings can only be performed in a licensed facility and cannot be done in-home. While I hope to become needle-trained in the future to offer more piercing options, at this time, I’m able to pierce along the outside of the ear (such as lobe and helix piercings).

  • Yes! You'll be able to choose from a curated collection of hypoallergenic, nickel-free earrings made from 14k gold or medical-grade titanium. During your appointment, I’ll help assess which options are safest and most suitable for you.

  • Yes — to ensure proper healing, your piercing earrings must stay in for a minimum of 6 weeks for earlobe piercingsand 12 weeks for cartilage piercings (the longer, the better!).

It’s also recommended that you avoid submerging your new piercing in a pool for at least 24 hours after your appointment to reduce the risk of infection.
